Closing changes for the main European bourses:
- UK FTSE 100 -0.7%
- German DAX +0.2%
- Italy MIB +0.3%
- Spain IBEX -0.7%
- French CAC +0.1%
It was a mixed picture but it was a much nicer one than a few hours ago. The DAX had been down as much as 2.2% before finishing higher. That's an impressive turnaround.
