The major European stock indices are ending the session mixed, but mostly little changed:
- German DAX is higher by 0.05%
- France's CAC is up by 0.13%
- UK's FTSE 100 up 0.34% and closes at a new record
- Spain's Ibex fell by -0.09%
- Italy's footsie MIB felt by -0.04%
- Portugal's PSI 20 fell by -0.08%
In the 10 year debt sector, yields are also mixed and also little changed:
- Germany 0.383%, -3.7 basis points
- France 0.72%, -2.1 basis points
- UK 1.168%, -7.3 basis points
- Spain 1.474%, unchanged
- Italy 1.917%, +0.5 basis points
- Portugal 1.844%, +0.6 basis points
- Greece 4.111%, -2.8 basis points
In other markets near the London close:
- Spot gold is up $4.04 or 0.32% at $1287
- WTI crude oil futures are trading down $.53 or -0.88% at $59.44
- US stock indices are higher. S&P index is up 2.14 points or 0.08%. NASDAQ is up 6.56 points or 0.10%. Dow industrial average is up 19.4 points or 0.08%. Each are coming off highs though.
- US yields are mostly lower. Two-year 1.903%, up 0.3 basis points. 10 year 2.426%, -4.8 basis points. 30 year is cracking lower. It is at 2.7638%, -6 basis points.
In the forex market near the London close, the AUD is the strongest, while the JPY is the weakest as it is following yields lower.
