UK FTSE leads the way

The European stock markets closed the day sharply higher. The UK FTSE led the charge, rising by 1.88%. The FTSE MIB rose by 1.71%. The French CAC rose by 1.52%. The weakest performer was the Spanish IBEX, but it still rose by 1.3%.

For the year, that brings the gains for the German Dax to 23.64%. That leads the major global stock markets/indices. The US markets lag behind this year. It is EUs turn to enjoy the QE windfall.
