Eurostoxx future -0.1% in early European trading

European equity futures mostly flat in early trading

• Germany's DAX futures -0.2%
• UK's FTSE futures open flat
• France's CAC 40 futures open flat
• Spain's IBEX futures open flat

It's a slow start in the futures market, as market participants are probably still deciding on the direction for the day. In Asia, there's a bit of a mixed session as the Nikkei ended the day lower but China's Shanghai Composite and CSI 300 indices both close the day higher by 0.23% and 0.44% respectively.

However, Korea's Kospi index is also lower by 0.42% and Australia's ASX 200 closed the day lower by 0.64%.

Yesterday, we saw US equities once again posted record closes but they were some way off the highs posted during the trading session.
