Sour sentiment across the board
The drop in the Nikkei as a result of EUR/JPY weakness and concerns surrounding emerging markets - which has already impacted equities sentiment earlier - are the two big things that are contributing towards the negative start we're seeing here.
That is also helping to play into weaker aussie sentiment on the day.
