Latest data released by Eurostat - 17 December 2018
- Prior €13.4 billion; revised to €13.0 billion
- Non-seasonally adjusted trade balance €14.0 billion
- Prior €13.1 billion
Not a release that will do much for the euro on the surface of it. Looking into details, the trade surplus to the US has gone up to €114.8 billion as of year-to-date October 2018. Compared to year-to-date October 2017, that figure was only €96.1 billion. Certainly not the kind of numbers Trump would be too happy about.
