EUR/USD sits at 1.3780, effectively unchanged from where it closed out Wednesday in North America. Seems as though a little calm has descended after the manic conditions of yesterday.

Talk of Asian central bank buying overnight has lent support, while ongoing worries over euro zone peripheries helping limit gains so far.

Very little in way of euro zone data today:

09:00 GMT: ECB publishes November monthly report

European stocks look likely to open marginally firmer, FTSE and DAX up around 0.3%.

Talk of stops through 1.3750, 1.3700 and 1.3670. Suspect topside stops around 1.3825, but will need to confirm that as we progress through morning.
