EUR/USD at 1.4015 is pretty much where North American closed out last week. Decent demand for the EUR/JPY cross in the wake of the North Korean news has lent EUR/USD useful underpinning.
Technical supports now 1.3995 and 1.3970/75, resistances up at 1.4030/35 and 1.4050/55.
Meanwhile the Russian military are saying the North Korean blast had a force of about 20 kilotonnes. Russia is concerned by the test and is calling for calm.
U.S. President Obama says the tests are a “matter of grave concern to all nations.” and warrants action by the international community.
Japan says the test is unacceptable and will take decisive action, including seeking action at the U.N. Security Council.
