WASHINGTON (MNI) – The Federal Reserve Thursday announced that
Chair Ben Bernanke will be returning to the classroom four times in
March, lecturing college students on the Fed and its role in the
economy.
Bernanke’s lectures at George Washington University’s School of
Business are scheduled at 12:45 p.m. ET on March 20, 22, 27 and 29.
The classes will not be restricted to the campus, however. All will
be available for viewing at www.ustream.tv/channel/federalreserve and
will be archived on the federalreserve.gov Web page.
Bernanke, of course, is hardly a stranger to the college classroom,
serving as a professor of economics and public affairs at Princeton from
1985 until becoming chair of the economics department from 1996 to 2002.
Prior to that he was an assistant professor of economics at Stanford’s
graduate school and a visiting professor at NYU and MIT.
