With Japan the only Asian market of note in today with the rest off enjoying an Easter long weekend the theme of the day has been stronger YEN crosses all round with EUR/JPY just off its daily highs of 132.66 at 132.56, AUD/JPY at 72.66 and GBP/JPY at 147.70. The USD has also lost ground against the Euro, Cable and AUD today but i am not sure if this will be still be the case in 24 hours time.
I am not too sure what to make of the start of the week and i think its best to tread lightly until tomorrow when we have more partcipants back in the markets. Trying to work out what is going to happen for the week from a Monday mornings moves is hard enough on a normal week without the majority of the world out recovering from an overdose of chocolate Easter eggs.
The only data of note out this evening is the Canadian BOC Business Outlook Survey due up at 14:30 GMT.
