GBP is gaining on positive Brexit news, testing its overnight high

The news on Brexit is positive, this from May and also Barnier:

  • UK press report PM May on Brexit: " withdrawal agreement is virtually agreed"
  • EU chief Brexit negotiator giving ground on Irish border after Brexit issue

Cable is pushing higher:

The headlines are positive indeed. I am surprised GBP is not even higher given the thin liquidity conditions at this time of the 24 hour forex cycle. It does appear there is some selling into the good news rally to be done.
