GERMANY DATA: Consumer prices in Germany surprised to the downside in
October, unchanged on the month and up 2.5% on the year, the Federal
Statistical Office reported on Thursday, citing preliminary figures.
Analysts had projected a 0.1% monthly increase to give a 2.6% annual
rise. In EU harmonized terms, prices were also unchanged compared to
September and up 2.8% y/y. Median forecasts were for a 0.1% and 2.9%
rise on the month and year, respectively.
