Final readings for German inflation data released by Destatis - 16 January 2018

• CPI y/y +1.7% vs +1.7% prelim
• EU harmonized CPI m/m +0.8% vs +0.6% prelim
• EU harmonized CPI y/y +1.6% vs +1.6% prelim
• Wholesale price index m/m -0.3% vs +0.5% prior
• Wholesale price index y/y +1.8% vs +3.3% prior

Reminder once again that German data is delayed starting from 5 January, after they changed the way they release their data as mentioned here.

Bang in line with expectations, nothing really to surprise markets or anything. EUR unphased by the release - rightfully so. EUR/USD now 1.2263 while EUR/GBP at 0.8891.
