BERLIN (MNI) – The foreign exchange rate of the euro is currently
no problem for German exporters, the President of the German Export
Association (BGA), Anton Boerner, said Thursday.

“This is currently no topic for us,” Boerner told reporters here,
noting that most German export businesses were currently well hedged on
the currency side.

German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble said Wednesday that the
euro foreign exchange rate had “reached a reasonable range.”

Boerner reaffirmed the BGA’s forecast of 10% export growth this
year. He said his association would also stick to its 2010 German GDP
growth forecast of 2.5% to 3%.
