BERLIN (MNI) – German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble suggested
on Wednesday that he is worried about Tuesday’s downgrade by Moody’s
Investor Services of the sovereign rating for Portugal.
Asked by reporters if the rating downgrade was a cause for concern,
Schaeuble replied: “I’m concerned about everything but at the moment I’m
worried about many things.”
On Tuesday, Moody’s cut Portugal’s sovereign debt rating by two
notches to A3, adding that it might have to downgrade again.
