GERMANY: German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble said in a newspaper
interview published Sunday that the idea of the creation of an European
Monetary Fund should be given proper consideration. “We should now
discuss calmly which consequences to draw from the Greek crisis,”
Schaeuble told German weekly Welt am Sonntag (WamS). “Therefore, we
should not exclude any proposals a priori, also not the creation of an
European Monetary Fund.”
