BERLIN (MNI) – The German government expects that the domestic
economy will grow by at least 3% this year, German weekly Die Zeit
reported in a pre-release of its Thursday edition citing internal
government calculations.
The International Monetary Fund in its annual Germany report on
Tuesday also said that German economic growth could top 3% this year.
The government’s official forecast is for GDP growth of 2.6% in
2011.
