The daily case count is seen on the lower side again but we'll see if that keeps up later in the week or if there is some distortion to the figure above. The 7-day incidence rate continues to ease but is still on the high side as deaths are also holding higher.
In case you missed it, Bavaria has cancelled Oktoberfest for a second year running over fears surrounding the virus situation in general.
In terms of healthcare capacity, there were 5,011 (-18) virus patients requiring intensive care as of yesterday with there being 3,146 (13%) intensive care beds still available.
