BERLIN (MNI) – Germany’s Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble was
taken to a Brussels hospital Sunday ahead of an emergency meeting of EU
Finance Ministers, a spokesman for the German Finance Ministry said.
Schaeuble had an adverse reaction to a medication he had taken on
Saturday for the first time, spokesman Michael Offer explained.
Schaeuble is to be replaced at the Brussels meeting by Interior
Minister Thomas de Maiziere, Offer announced.
