Today’s general strike in Greece has spawn a fair amount of street violence in Athens, a point the government acknowledges. A Spokesman further says that most Greeks want to stay in the euro and that they understand that the government is working to maintain Greece’s place in the euro.
EUR/USD is rebounding modestly after dipping as low as 1.2837. Sellers are eyed on bounces back to 1.2900. 1.2827 is key support for EUR/USD near-term, the 200-day moving average.
