TGFNZ (TG For New Zealand)

2130GMT - BusinessNZ manufacturing PMI for January
  • prior 54.5. This was a 13-month low. yep, Strong expansion reading but a low for more than a year ... that's why NZ is the rock star economy
  • Yesterday the finance minister spoke, pointing out that the big risks for NZ are external
2145GMT - Q4 Retail Sales (exl. inflation) data from Stats New Zealand
  • expected +1.0% q/q, prior +0.9%
  • On that 'prior'. it followed a strong +2.2% in Q2 and was +5.3% y/y! Strong gains.
