PARIS (MNI) – The International Institute of Finance, which is
representing private creditors in debt reduction talks with Greece, has
denied reports that it is planning a press conference.
“There appears to be a report on some newswires that [IIF Managing
Director Charles] Dallara and/or the IIF is planning a press conference.
This is not the case and I assure you that you will be the first to know
when and if we feel we are in such a position,” IIF spokesman Frank Vogl
said in an e-mailed statement.
“Meanwhile, as you may know, talks were held today and there will
be a further round of talks this evening and should we have something
that we are able to say thereafter, then be assured you will hear from
me,” he added.
