There have been several articles in recent days that the real seat of power regarding economic policy in the Obama administration lies in the White House in the person of Larry Summers. Summers filled the power vacuum while Geithner was dancing for his bureaucratic life after his tax problems became public. Summers has yet to relinquish the wheel, this story would indicate. it also contains the interesting tidbit that Obama’s binky, Paul Volcker, and Summers do not get along.
