Il Messaggero reports
- Cabinet could decide to postpone the release of new economic forecasts
- Cites ongoing differences between coalition partners
- Eventual delay could push forecasts back into next week
The forecasts were supposed to be released later today so we'll see. Once again, it's a case of Salvini taking on economy/finance minister Tria with Salvini wanting to push for further tax reforms - signalling growth of about 0.6% this year.
Meanwhile, Tria is worried about procedural infractions if Italy's growth forecasts are not credible and is proposing growth of about 0.1% to 0.2% instead. For some context, either of the two figures will be a downgrade compared to the 1.0% forecast currently.
