ITALY DATA: Preliminary June HICP rose 0.1% m/m, 3.0% y/y, same as
3.0% y/y in May, and posting the highest y/y gain since
October 2008 (+3.8%).
–The preliminary main domestic index (NIC) rose 0.1% m/m and 2.7% y/y,
rising from 2.6% y/y in May.
–Core NIC Inflation accelerates to 2.1% y/y, up from 1.8 y/y in May;
net of energy gained 2.2% y/y, after rising 2.1% y/y in May.
–The June NIC data provided a platform of acquired inflation of +2.3%
for 2011, ISTAT said.
