Italy's Di Maio says country is to live within EU budget restrictions

When Di Maio's Five Star Movement party came out of the elections, he pledged that he will keep the government deficit at 1.5% of GDP. The EU stipulates that government deficit must fall within the limits of 3% of GDP. If anything, his comment here can be interpreted in the sense that he may not stick to his earlier pledge. But hey, who's counting/remembering?
