Japan industrial production weaker than expectations

The Japan industrial production for September (P) came in weaker than expected:

  • MoM falls -1.1% versus -0.3% expected. Last month 0.2%
  • Industrial production YoY -2.9% vs -2.1% expected. Last month +0.2%
  • Shipments were -3.0% versus 1.7% last
  • inventories 2.3% versus -0.4%
  • inventory ratio 7.8% versus -2.1%
