Just another day in Asia

Japan:

  • 20 year JGB to a record low yield, 0.145%
  • 30 yr also, 0.215%
  • 10 yr record low -0.185%

Returns like those ain't gonna buy you many watermelons

Meanwhile in China, the PBOC set the USD/CNY at its highest since January of 2011

In the major trading currencies, its not oberly busy, but EUR/US is back toward overnight lows, USD/CHF is ticking up a little. AUD/USD and NZD/USD on the soft side also.

GBP and Yen not doing overly much.

Update:

Pretty soon it'll be over the Janet Yellen and her FOMC buddies for the decision. On hold again this month. (Famous last words?)
