–Japan Oct Job Offers Index Lowest Since 0.79 In April
TOKYO (MNI) – The ratio of job offers to job seekers at government
placement offices stood at a seasonally adjusted 0.80 in October, down from 0.81
in September, showing there were 80 job offers for every 100 people looking for
work, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare said Friday.
The indicator of the current labor market conditions posted the second
straight monthly drop. In September it marked the first month-on-month drop in
more than three years since July 2009, when it slipped from 0.44 to 0.43.
The October figure was the lowest since 0.79 in April this year.
