Well, developments in North Korea has been cooling off a little (aside from the "who's button is bigger" banter between Trump and Kim Jong Un). In November last year, Japan had a emergency cabinet meeting after North Korea launched missiles over its airspace again.
And last month, Abe also said that Japan will invest into more military and defense setups as a precautionary step.
