Mark Harper: Preference is to get a new Brexit deal, but no-deal must not be ruled out

You can pretty much copy and paste that same campaign agenda for all the candidates running in the contest. Every one of them is saying that they can bring a new deal to the negotiating table and/or rework the Irish backstop but otherwise, they'd be willing to pursue a no-deal Brexit outcome instead.

Once again, it's easy to campaign in such a way now but it's a whole other thing when you have to do the job as prime minister. Just look at how that turned out for Theresa May.
