Its been a slow start to the week so far in Asia, with New Zealand markets on holiday for a long weekend extending the torpor somewhat.

As Tokyo, Singapore and HK are getting active we are seeing some minor moves.

EUR/USD is ticking a little higher with USD/JPY is plumbing the week's lows ( the young week so far!).

AUD and NZD are little higher also.

There has been little in the way of fresh news this morning and the economic data calendar today is quite bare.

China stockmarkets open in just over an hour, they'll be higher in the wake of the interest rate easings announced late Friday and will be unlikely to fall too hard while the Communist Party Plenum is on in Beijing over coming days.
