NZ PM Ardern says Auckland to move to level 3 alert from 22 September

The virus situation in New Zealand continues to improve

• Lockdown in Auckland to be extended for now
• The rest of the country will remain on level 2 alert until 22 September
• Alert levels to be reevaluated on 20 September

The extension is precautionary but overall this is positive news for the economy and tees up a potential 50 bps rate hike by the RBNZ when we get to October.
