The GDT (GlobalDairyTrade) auction begins at midday in London on Tuesday 02 January 2018
Results will start to come out about an hour and half after.
The final auction for 2017 saw a 3.9% drop in the index, consolidating a poor run in previous months:
There were expectations that the index would net rise at the previous auction. Those expectations did not come to fruition. Large stockpiles of product are acting as an overhang on the market.
I haven't seen much in the way of expectations for tonight's results, probably due to holidays around the place (except for farmers - the cows have gotta be milked every day (Christmas/New Year or not).
