WTI crude rebounds from Greek worries
US crude oil is at $59.76, virtually flat on the day after touching as low as $59.10. There is concern about violence in Iraq and Saudi Arabia.
WTI crude intraday has now touched $59.76
A 30-cent bid has rolled through in the past few minutes, although it hasn't been reflected in the Canadian dollar.
It's a very thin market today with the US on holiday. The CME is open but scheduled for an early close at 1 pm ET.
The American Automobile Association reported earlier that weekend holiday travel will rise 4.7% from last year to the second-best level on record. Better US Summer gasoline demand will help to work down the crude oil supply glut.
