The Thomson Reuters/Insead survey of Asia business sentiment fell to 69 in Q2 from 74 in Q1. The survey showed that the crisis in Europe and slower Chinese demand have dampened the outlook.
Overall, the survey remains well-above the 50 breakeven mark. An overwhelming 177 companies had a positive outlook for the next 6 months compared to 12 who were negative. Australia was included in the survey and scored 42, the only country below 50.
A separate survey in London, showed improving sentiment at businesses.
