Reuters poll: US tax cuts to have a net positive effect on the USD in 2018

Reuters' monthly poll among FX strategists 7 Dec 2017

• Median forecast of EUR/USD in 6 months at 1.1800
• Median forecast of EUR/USD in 12 months at 1.2200

The 6 months' forecast is unchanged from November's poll, but the 12 months' forecast is up from 1.2000.

A little contradictory but hey, there's FX strategists for you. The poll says that 1/3 of the strategists who said that tax cuts will benefit the dollar all forecasted a weaker dollar over the next 12 months.

They cite the stronger EUR as an exception as the ECB is expected to wind down its QE programme by the end of 2018.
