- EU to add new names to Russian sanctions in the coming days
In earlier news from a statement released by the White House G7 says:
- they will move swiftly to impose additional sanctions on Russia
- each G7 country will determine which targeted sanctions they will impose.
- given the urgency of ensuring peaceful Ukraine elections next month G7 has committed to intensify targeted sanctions on Russia to increase cost of its actions
- G7 is prepared to move to broader sanstion measures inc sectoral, should circumstances warrant
- door remains open to diplomatic resolution and urges Russia to join that path
- Russia has taken no steps to apply with Geneva accord but instead has continued to escalate tensions
So what about the recent attacks made by Ukrainian forces and the less than diplomatic talk from its current leaders?
If this wasn’t so serious it would be farcical
