Amidst the to and fro of daily developments I just want to make note of this
I've noted it before: Turnbull government to reform Senate voting, with 6 proposals.
I suppose I should state this very clearly so as no-one misunderstands - I don't see this as having any significance for the Australian dollar in the short-term, or even the medium term.
What I do see is that if senate voting is reformed along these lines it should lead to more stable government in Australia and the ability to get reform passed more readily.
The reason I post it now is that the government has said they are focusing on getting senate voting reforms passed this week. its something to keep an eye on.
