EUR/USD sits at 1.4375, all but unchanged from where North America closed out last Friday, with Asian trade being restricted to a fairly uninspired 1.4336-1.4388 range.

09:00 GMT: Italian trade balance for November expected -779 mln.
European stocks look likely to open little firmer.
