Reuters just ran a story quoting the head of the Chinese central bank as saying there is no chance the Yuan would depreciate to help Chinese exporters. That statement has since been amended to China does not exclude the possibility of the Yuan depreciation. That is a huge shift. China had been guiding the Yuan stronger for the last several years before allowing it to stabilize at stronger levels in recent months owing to the global financial crisis near the 6.8250 level.
