WASHINGTON (MNI) – The following is a summary of the November U.S.
sales performance of select auto manufacturers announced Thursday:

* General Motors Thursday reported total sales of 180,402
vehicles in November, up 7% compared with November 2010. Retail
deliveries were up 15% compared with the same month a year ago and
accounted for 77% of GM sales. Deliveries to fleets were down 14%. GM’s
total passenger car sales increased 1%, crossover sales decreased 9% and
sales of trucks, which include full-size pickups, vans and SUVs,
increased 25%. GM ended November with about 620,000 units in dealer
stock and expects to end the year with inventory in the high
500,000-unit range, including approximately 200,000 full-size pickup
trucks, as previously announced.

* Ford Motor Thursday said November U.S. retail sales increased
20% versus a year ago. Total sales were 166,865, up 13%. Ford passenger
car sales totaled 48,322 compared to 52,985 last year, a decrease of
8.8%. Ford truck sales totaled 65,732 in October, an 22.8% increase
versus 53,524 last year. Year-to-date car sales total 667,286, up 5.6%
while truck sales total 717,569, an increase of 10.3%.

* Toyota Motor Thursday reported November sales of 137,960
units, an increase of 2.4% compared to the same period last year on a
daily selling rate basis. On a raw volume basis, unadjusted for 25
selling days in November 2011 versus 24 selling days in November 2010,
TMS sales were up 6.7% over the year-ago month. The Toyota Division
posted November total sales of 118,502 units, an increase of 2.4% on a
DSR basis over November 2010. Toyota Division passenger cars recorded
sales of 66,108 units, an increase of 14.7% over November 2010. Toyota
Division light trucks posted monthly sales of 52,394 units, down 9.8%
from November 2010.

* Chrysler Group Thursday reported U.S. sales of 107,172, a 45%
increase compared with sales in November 2010 (74,152 units), and the
best year-over-year sales gain this year. Chrysler Group’s sales
increase was driven by retail sales that were up 51%. Chrysler Group
finished the month with a 78-day supply of inventory (333,218 units).
Chrysler Group truck sales (78,478 units) improved 29% compared with
November 2010 (61,040 units). Chrysler Group car sales (28,694 units)
were up 119% versus November last year (13,112 units).

* American Honda Motor Tuesday announced November sales of
83,925 vehicles, a decrease of 10.1%, the company announced. American
Honda year-to-date sales reached 1,042,055, down 5.7% versus last year,
based on the daily selling rate. Honda Division posted November sales of
74,016, a decrease of 9.9% versus November 2010. Honda trucks posted
November sales of 38,167, an decrease of 5.6%. Acura Division recorded
November sales of 9,909, a decrease of 11.2% versus November 2010, and
year-to-date sales of 110,170, down 7.1%.

* Nissan North America Thursday reported record November U.S.
sales of 85,182 units versus 71,366 units a year earlier, an increase of
19.4%. Nissan Division sales also set a new November record, increasing
21.5% for the month to 76,754 units. Sales of Infiniti vehicles
increased 3% from the prior year, to 8,428 units. Nissan vehicles posted
record November sales with 76,754 units, an increase of 21.5 percent
over the 63,184 units sold in November 2010.

* * Hyundai Motor America Thursday announced sales of 49,610
vehicles in November, a 22% total sales increase and 24% retail sales
increase compared with the same record-setting period a year ago. Year
to date, Hyundai sales are up 21% versus 2010 in total, with sales to
retail customers up 30%. Sales to fleet accounts represent 11% of the
total sales year-to-date and 10 percent for the month of November.

* Mazda Thursday reported strong November U.S. sales of 18,432
vehicles, representing an increase of 20.4% versus last year. On a Daily
Selling Rate (DSR) basis, Mazda’s November 2011 sales were up 15.6%.
Year-to-date sales through November are up 9.6% versus last year, with
228,073 vehicles sold.

* Volkswagen of America Thursday reported 28,412 units sold in
November 2011, a 40.7% increase over prior year sales. Year-to-date
sales are up 25.3%.

* Subaru of America Thursday announced U.S. November 2011 sales
of 17,657 and 233,288 year-to-date.

* Porsche Cars North America Thursday announced November 2011
sales of 2,255 vehicles and year-to-date sales of 27,189 cars. The
year-to-date sales compare to 22,753 vehicles sold last year – a 19%
increase.

* Kia Motors America Thursday announced best-ever November sales
of 37,007 units, a 39.1% increase over the same period last year and the
company’s 15th straight monthly sales record.

* The BMW Group in the U.S. (BMW and MINI combined) reported
November sales of 26,271 vehicles, an increase of 14.8% from the 22,883
vehicles sold in the same month a year ago. Year-to-date, BMW Group
sales are up 14.6% to 272,873 in the first eleven months of 2011
compared to 238,157 in the same period in 2010.

* Mercedes-Benz USA Thursday reported November sales of 28,255
vehicles, a 55.2% improvement over November 2010 (18,208) and the
company’s highest November volume on record. On a year-to-date basis,
the 236,415 vehicles sold represent a 20.4% increase over the 196,288
vehicles sold during the same period last year.

* Audi Thursday reported its 11th straight record-setting month
of sales for the year with 9,700 vehicles sold in November 2011, a 3.6%
increase over the previous all-time record set a year earlier.
Year-to-date sales ended the month up 15.2% with 104,906 vehicles sold,
topping the previous annual U.S. sales record of 101,629 set at the end
of last year.
