Super Committee circles the drain

There was just a rare thoughtful interview on CNBC with Senator Jon Kyl, a member of the super committee.

He says the cards were stacked against a deal from the beginning. Obama wants to run against a “do-nothing” Congress, so a deal was not to his advantage. The Democrats get their fondest wish if it is unable to forge a deal. The Bush-era tax cuts expire and rates will rise dramatically in January 2013. The automatic cuts that will come as a result of the failure will hit the Democrats favorite hobby horse the hardest, the Department of Defense.

So a loss for the country is a win for the Democrats…Happy Days are here again…Pathetic.
