Latest data released by Credit Suisse and CFA Society Switzerland - 26 September 2018
- Prior -14.3
The reading measures analysts' expectations on the Swiss economy and other economic expectations over the next 6 months. Investor sentiment towards the Swiss and global economy continues to deteriorate. The headline reading is the weakest since March 2015.
Looking at the details, current economic situation in the Eurozone declined the most but improved for both the Swiss and US economies. However, expectations for the Swiss economy declined from as per what we have seen in the headline reading to lows not seen in more than three years.
Of note, there's more skepticism with regards to inflation in the Swiss economy. Of course, this comes after the SNB toned down their inflation expectations last week here. A minor data point on the day but it continues to highlight that geopolitical tensions and domestic politics are not healthy for investor confidence.
