Good day, everyone! Hope you all had a good weekend as we get back into the trading action here in Europe. It's been a lively pre-show with the lira once again stealing headlines as the CBRT stepped in with some support measures.

In my view, it's not going to be enough to see the lira pull off any sustained rally. Meanwhile, we're seeing risk-off themes still developing in markets and I suspect those tones may deepen once European markets open. Keep an eye out on bank stocks today.

As for currencies, no surprises that the prime candidates are leading the charge - yen, swissie, and dollar. And the aussie is the laggard as we begin the session:
