Daily thread to exchange ideas and to share your thoughts

Good day, everyone! Hope you're all doing well as we get things going here on the session. It's been a decent start to the trading day with some action in major currencies with the yen and kiwi the notable movers.

WCRS 25-06

The former is buoyed by a more risk-off mood amid trade/geopolitical concerns while the latter is boosted on cross flows ahead of the RBNZ meeting decision tomorrow. The pound also crept a little higher in the past hour but the move remains rather modest so far.

It's all about risk sentiment and trade/geopolitical headlines today so keep your eyes and ears peeled as market focus continues to rest on the Trump-Xi meeting later this week. In the midst of all of this, gold continues to be a standout performer and one of the trades with the most clarity in my view; as price now looks towards breaking higher as it trades at fresh highs in nearly six years.
