Approval hits high in WSJ/NBC poll
Trump's approval rating has risen to 47% as his economic strength message percolates, according to a poll released today by the WSJ & NBC.
That could be a great sign for Republicans hoping to hold the House and Senate in the midterms.
At the same time, the poll reports that voter interest in the midterms is at an all-time high and that could hurt Republicans with 68% of Republican voters and 72% of Democrats say they are very interested in the election-the highest recorded for either party by the survey in a midterm election.
The polls shows especially high interest by women, young people and Hispanics -- not exactly Trump's base.
Expect a heavy dose of midterms news until the Nov 6 vote.
