UK PM May has arrived in Japan for trade talks 30 Aug

May's trip is due to last 3 days. She will be accompanied by International Trade Secretary Liam Fox and a delegation of business leaders drawn from a range of sectors.

They will be keen to demonstrate their enthusiasm for new trade agreements with Japan. The UK will, however, be unable to sign any deal until it has left the EU and that's not going to be anytime soon.

Abe will be seeking assurances from May that Brexit will not be detrimental to Japanese businesses with bases in the UK.Japan also wants to know what kind of relationship the UK will have with the EU post-Brexit.

Meanwhile GBPUSD 1.2927 after yesterday's retreat into the 80-00 area I highlighted and was going short again from 1.2960. I hope some of you took advantage. Demand around 1.2920 and I've taken a bit of profit but still running some.
