Up ahead: Fed's Brainard, 10 year note auction, Beige Book

What is up for the afternoon

Fed Governor, Lael Brainard will speak at the Detroit Economic Club about the economy and monetary policy at 12:45 PM ET/1645 GMT. Brainard is thought to be more dovish and is a voter.

At 1 PM ET/1700 GMT, the US treasury will auction $23B of 10 year notes

The Apple event will take place. Apple shares are trading around $221.

Finally at 2 PM ET/1800 GMT the Fed will release the latest Beige Book that will outline the anecdotal economic trends from each of the Federal Reserve districts. That report comes ahead of the FOMC meeting that will take place later in the month (on September 26th).
