The data provides information on the number of announced corporate layoffs by industry and region and acts as a general labour market indicator. Job cuts don't appear to be slowing down all too much though the report here doesn't provide much of an accurate indicator for what to expect ahead of tomorrow's non-farm payrolls release. But it is something to take note of.
